Castle town, Igaueno is the heartland of Ninja. It is also the hometown of Basho, the famous Haiku poet who left many excellent poems for us all.

Nara-Ken

A. Todaiji Temple

This was built in 743 by the Emperor Shomu as the center of all provincial temples established throughout Japan. The Daibutsuden, or "Great Hall of Buddha", is 48.74 meters tall, and inside is found a 15 meters sitting Buddha, colloqially known as "Daibutsusan".
