Here is Dad Toshi...
As the pillar of the home, he is a kind, loving, compassionate husband and a gentle,
nurturing father. He is a good provider to his family and basically a home loving person. He was born in Nagasaki
City, Nagasaki Prefecture. At the age of two, his family relocated to Aichi Prefecture and settled in Nagoya City.
It is there where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Chubu Kougyo University with a B.S. degree major in
Mechanical Engineering. He moved to Tokyo on 1990 and is now working at the NASA - affiliated agency, the ERSDAC
(Earth Remote Sensing Data Analysis Center). He has a passion for computers, and a sports enthusiast too. He likes mountain
climbing, playing base ball, tennis, bowling, skating, and skiing. He used to be a car racer. He is a F1 avid fan. He also
used to travel a lot. He had travelled extensively in the US and Asia.
Mom Edna....
Actually, she's not
really comfortable to be called the light of the home since she's not good in homemaking stuff. She's one of those who are
not at their best when it comes to being in the kitchen. Despite of this, she sees to it that there's always a hot meal
on the table for her family. She is a hard-headed, hot-tempered, irrepressible and independent woman. She is just lucky to
have a husband who understands her shortcomings and loves her just the same. She has a warm personality though - the
type of person who can easily make friends. Her husband has been telling her that she is a loving, dutiful wife and a doting,
over protected mother. She hails from Iligan City, Philippines. She graduated from Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute
of Technology with a Bachelor's degree. Linguistics is her chosen field of specialization. She used to work as a college instructor
but at the present, she is just a full-time housewife and a stay-at-home mom. She loves to watch "Larry King Live" and "Hard
Talk". She's a movie buff and a real junkie for printed word.
In spite of their somewhat opposite natures,
Dad and Mom get along pretty well with each other. They believe the saying "opposite poles attract" is not a cliche after
all. They share a whole ocean of understanding and truly comfortable and contented with each other's company. They both
thrive in the secure bonds of a stable union and share the same top priority--their daughter.
And here is the
little princess of the Onoue hosehold--Tomo!
She is completely adored by her Dad and Mom. She is their love, life,
pride, joy and inspiration. This vibrant and bubbly little girl never ceases to amuse her Dad and Mom with her numerous funny
antics. She came into this world on a Friday, May 22, 1998 at 4:17 PM in Tokyo Medical Center. She was such a tiny bundle
of joy who only weighed 2,675 grams and measured 48.8 cm. tall. But when her parents look at her now they can't almost
believe their eyes; she seems to be growing fast. She stands 110 cm and weighs 17 kg. She's now into Japanese Anime and Origami.
Sailor Moon, Doremi, Judo Girl, and Powerpuff Girls, specially Blossom, are among her favorite. Dexter's Lab and Pinky and
The Brain fascinate her as well. She likes to tinker her computer and assemble jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoys
playing her dad's collection of radio-controlled toy cars. She's into digital photography too. As of late, she spends
most of her free time having fun with her adorable Robot named Pino -- who sulks and nags if she doesn't play with him.
She also finds time to feed and talk to her seven beautiful goldfish and a cute Sapphire Blue hamster. Even in this most
tender stage of her life, she has already shown interest in entertaining people. She wants to sing, dance, and perform some
hilarious tricks. She can play the harmonica, pianica, and the piano. Tomo is now in her third and final year of kindergarten
schooling.
The Onoues are presently residing in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.
